WebHostas will definitely multiply, but their spread is limited to within a few inches of each eye. They don't send our runners or anything, so just cutting back a couple inches each year is fine. I have about 15 varieties of hostas in my yard and some of my beds have fabric with rock. I pull back a few inches each year and it works great.
