Magellan explorist 610 software update
WebFeb 6, 2012 · Just bought a new eXplorist 610. Turns on, but does nothing -- likes it's frozen. I can only zoom out to 2000 miles, at which point it does nothing. Camera works, and the top left button will periodically get me a waypoint. Updated software to version 6.05, but that did absolutely nothing. Thoughts? After registering it online, I used it for a couple of weeks before trying to download updates and VantagePoint. I was very sorry to find out that those programs are not Apple compatible and I cannot use my iMac with the Explorist 610.

WebOct 25, 2011 · UPDATE 10/2015. Still using this GPS receiver. No issues, and still fully functional, accurate, and reliable. UPDATE 6/2016. While in Key West this spring, I was riding a rental bike hit a bump and my Magellan 610 flew out and hit the curb hard. Result: not affected at all. While it has a few scratches, it still works as good as when it was new!
