Phosphate sensor using molybdenum
WebWhen ammonium molybdate solution is added to a solution of phosphate containing conc. H 2 SO 4 it produces a yellow crystalline precipitation of ammonium phospho-molybdate. Phospho-molybdate reacts with amino-naphthol-sulphonic acid and produces a molybdenum complex which forms a blue- coloured solution.
